Given that work based learning is an integral part of the course, students will be required to demonstrate competencies in a range of professional and operational areas that are required at a five star resort. The necessity to pass these core competencies, in addition to the academic requirements of the course, is formalised as a core element of assessment for each level of study.
You will be given in-house training by the Celtic Manor Resort, reinforcing the standards and professional expectations of operating within a five star resort. This, alongside a process of continuous monitoring, evaluation and feedback on progress, will provide you with support in meeting these standards. It is on these professional and operational standards that students are assessed for their suitability to continue their work based learning at Celtic Manor Resort.
Your studies will be underpinned by the latest research undertaken by the South Wales Business School Research Group. This means you will be taught by academics who are at the forefront of their specialist field.
Assessment methods replicate activities required in the workplace. You will also be assessed using a variety of methods, including essays, reports, group work, presentations and online applications.
